Festivate is an event management app aimed specifically at private individuals who do not frequently plan parties or events. The aim is to make the planning process as simple and efficient as possible so that no details are forgotten. With Festivate, you are guided step by step through the event planning process and you can always keep an eye on your expenses and budget.
create an intuitive event management app that simplifies planning for inexperienced users while ensuring no detail is overlooked.
After careful research and the application of various creativity techniques, we independently sketched and scribbled our initial ideas for wireframes. We then explained our thoughts and concepts to each other.
It quickly became clear that it would probably make more sense to continue with the desktop version, as planning parties and events is generally clearer on larger screens. We therefore decided to create our first digital wireframes for the desktop.
To increase user-friendliness, we used the "card sorting" method. Our focus was on optimising the filter functions, as these form a central part of the user experience. The filters allow users to search for specific topics quickly and precisely without being flooded with irrelevant information. Card sorting allowed us to optimise the filter structure and categories to ensure more intuitive and user-friendly navigation. The result is improved usability that allows our users to go through the event planning process even more smoothly.
After extensive research and the application of various creativity techniques, along with hands-on prototyping sessions, we began developing our initial digital wireframes.
After successfully establishing the website's information architecture, we focused on creating the high-fidelity prototype. This process began with developing a style guide, which served as the foundation for the high-fidelity visual design.
After completing the visual design, we moved on to linking the individual screens to create a functional prototype.
